4 Weeks Online Acting
January 24 @ 7:00 pm - February 14 @ 9:30 pm¥20000
January 24th to February 14th
Sunday 7pm-9:30pm JST (10am-12:30pm GMT)
In this four week online acting class you’ll be assigned a scene or monologue to perform and self- tape either alone or with a scene partner on zoom. During the class you’ll receive feedback based on the pre-filmed material and gain further insights into how to perfect the results of your work.
You will need a phone, laptop or camera, an internet connection and a quiet enough space at home to film yourself and participate in the zoom sessions.
Through mental and emotional exercises you’ll get to train your “acting muscles” and expand your knowledge on different techniques and approaches to capture your own performance on camera. You’ll exercise your imagination and ability to bring your “best game” no matter the circumstances.
You’ll discover the character, relationship, goals and mannerisms of your particular scene and then work over four weeks to make the best possible choices to bring out your very best performance.
Some of the aspects we’ll cover are:
- Scene Analyses
- Making strong and unique choices
- Physical and emotional preparation before starting a scene
- Truly connecting with your scene partner (or imagined circumstances in case of a monologue)
This class is suitable for actors with and without previous experience, who have a serious interest in pursuing acting as a professional career.
* Any student already signed up for the 2 month “Autonomous Acting” class before January 24th can participate in this class free of charge.
