“Art of Film Directing” Instructor Eric McEver in “Good bye, Eric”, Screens at Pia Film Festival

Our “Art of Film Directing” instructor and award-winning director friend Eric McEver is stars in a short film that is in competition at the 40th Pia Film Festival. The short film he is in, “Good bye, Eric” by director Takumi Takashina is one of 18 films that was selected out of 529 entries and was screened twice during the festival. The awards will be announced next week on Thursday, September 20th. See the trailer and synopsis below:

“Good bye, Eric!”

Farewell words are unnecessary between true friends. Goodbye, my beloved friend.

Miyata runs into repeated mishaps that prevents him from meeting his best friend Eric before his departure.  The trouble he goes through, however, reminds Miyata of the memories he made with Eric. This is a comedy that depicts the classic male friendship. At the end of the incident-filled journey awaits an emotional finale.
